Actually, we endured Office for Mac for three years, but got so frustrated with anything beyond basic Word and Excel functions.

Well, apart from surfing and the occasional word processing we haven't really done anything "Mac" on our Mac.

I always used to get frustrated trying to figure out how to do stuff and reverted back to my trusty old PC. Now it looks like I may switch for good.

BTW there is such a thing as Microsoft Office for Mac. The layout is pretty much the same and you can save files so they are compatible with PC Office. Pris has been using it with no problems and that way you don't need to dual boot. FYI.

If the two photos here are any indication, your daughter must have the most amazing baby pics! The sketchbook is a great idea, especially for creative types like you who shoot, draw and write.

Any chance the store that sold you the sketchbook also carries acid-free/photo-safe page protectors? Sayang naman your beautiful work if it won't sit on your coffee table or bookshelf for people to go through again and again.

A bit surprised to read this, Pare. As I recall, you and your wife bought your first MacBooks loooong before my husband and I bought ours. You also taught yourselves iMovie before we did. Thought you used your Macs more often but kept your PCs as back-ups.

Anyway, happy learning! As they say, once you go Mac, you never go back. True, except (we think) when it comes to iWork and MS Office for Mac.

To us, nothing beats the PC version of MS Office. So, we installed Snow Leopard (but Leopard will do), used Boot Camp to partition the hard drive, installed Windows 7, then installed MS Office. Based on our needs, we've got the best of the Mac and the PC worlds.

Super proud of my niece, she did so well. It's Halili Cruz Ballet School, one of the best in the country and 5 minutes from the house.

Oh goodness, silly me took what you said about projects in your backyard LITERALLY. I thought of you bringing home elaborate backdrops, props and costumes, or keeping it simple with just your meticulously kept garden as scenery, and using your beautiful family as models.
