Historic Boston . . . in more than one way.

My wife and I decided to take a break from helping her sister and her husband move to Rhode Island. We borrowed their car and headed to Boston. A day at the Public Park, a walk in Boston Common, visit Paul Revere's house and maybe have some lobster and clam chowder.

Instead our route gets blocked by a police barricade, huge numbers of people dressed in green t-shirts (some in green hair) are heading in
one direction. We find parking and head in the same direction, just in time for the Boston Celtics, the 2008 NBA Champs, to come by, riding on the famous Boston amphibious ducks.

We did get to see the sights afterwards though but this is about the parade, enjoy!

Family pictures

My wife has me scanning some of her old photos which we will bring to the US for her sister. Now this is really what photography is about, not the skinny model in a bathing suit, not another picture of the Eiffel Tower or a fast paced action shot of race cars rushing by. It's about preserving a moment in time that's gone forever. Family pictures are the best, no one else understands them fully or why they're so precious except for the family it belongs to, no one knows entirely why a smile forms on the family's face when they look at their old albums, it's just a big family secret. . . .

My wife hasn't changed much from this picture, she still has the same stubby fingers. . . . .
